Creative Writing Workshop with Tomek Gromadka

On 8 May, Collegium Maius hosted a creative writing workshop led by Tomek Gromadka — writing educator, cultural animator, writer, and psychotherapist. The workshop was addressed to students of the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University. Participants explored questions that often accompany the beginning of the creative process: how to start writing, where to find inspiration, how not to get stuck, and whether writing always has to be treated entirely seriously. On 24 April at 6:00 p.m., the Theater Room in Collegium Maius hosted a meeting in the Works in Progress: Student–Faculty Creative Writing Reading Series. The event was an open, informal reading of creative texts prepared by students and faculty members. Participants shared excerpts from their own work — both finished pieces and texts still in progress. Thinking Literature – Thinking Change AMU Erasmus+ BIP 2025

This year’s edition of BIP “Thinking Literature – Thinking Change” brought together participants from several countries for a programme combining online seminars, in-person workshops, and city-based activities. The school explored how literature — within different cultural frameworks – can inspire change, broaden sensitivity, and cultivate critical thinking. The online component introduced global perspectives on identity, storytelling, and literary circulation. The on-site classes at Collegium Maius focused on creative and interpretive practices, including theatre, visual storytelling, eco-literature, poetry, music, and embodied reading. Dr. Aron Aji Visit

In early June 2025, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań welcomed Dr. Aron Aji – literary translator, translation studies scholar, and director of the MFA in Literary Translation program at the University of Iowa. His visit combined academic and partnership-building purposes as part of the university’s ongoing international cooperation efforts. During his stay, Dr. Aji met with university leadership and faculty members from various departments.
